91 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when he will introduce legislation providing for the establishment of the proposed new horse racing body; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28433/00]
The work on the preparation of the detailed proposals for the establishment of the new horseracing body and related matters has already begun in my Department. It is proposed that draft heads of a Bill will be submitted to Government for approval as soon as possible. The normal procedures for enacting legislation will then be pursued and it is expected that a Bill will be published early in the new year.
