Vol. 527 No. 3

Written Answers. - Work Permits.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

98 Mr. Kenny asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position in relation to an application for work permits for non EEA nationals submitted by an employer; if she has had examinations made into the supporting documentation submitted with the application in question; if she will issue her decision in regard to formal approval for the applications; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [28224/00]

I understand the applicant concerned has submitted a number of applications for work permits to employ non European economic area nationals during recent months.

Work permits have already issued in respect of ten of the people concerned and I understand that work permits have been approved in respect of the remaining two people. In this regard, my Department has requested the fees from the applicant and when these are received the two work permits will then issue.
