138 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health and Children the percentage of elective procedures that were cancelled in 2000; if he will give a breakdown for the Dublin hospitals; the reasons for such cancellations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6067/01]
Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to persons resident in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
