105 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the total advertising expenditure incurred by his Department and all State bodies and agencies under the aegis of his Department for the year 2000; if he will specify each entity's expenditure on television advertising during that year; and the spend on Irish language television advertising by each entity during the year. The total advertising expenditure by my Department in the year 2000 amounted to £298,870. Details of advertising expenditure, in so far as available, by the bodies and agencies under the aegis of my Department during the year 2000 are set out in the following table. No expenditure was incurred on television advertising by my Department or by the bodies or agencies listed below during that period.

106 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the total advertising expenditure incurred by his Department and all State bodies and agencies under the aegis of his Department for the year 2000; if he will specify each entity's expenditure on television advertising during that year; and the spend on Irish language television advertising by each entity during the year. [7071/01]

The total advertising expenditure incurred by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the year 2000 was £125,555.07. There was no expenditure on television advertising or Irish language television advertising.

In relation to the agencies under the aegis of the Department, the position is as follows. The Refugee Agency and Irish Aid advisory committee had no advertising expenditure in the year 2000. APSO had a total advertising expenditure of £170,628.41. The National Committee for Development Education had an expenditure of £5,097.08.

The Ireland-United States commission for educational exchange, Fulbright Commission, had total advertising expenditure of £8,288.01 for the period 1 October 1999 to 30 September 2000. The commission's financial year runs in accordance with the academic year.

There was no expenditure on television or Irish language television advertising by any of the agencies above in the year 2000.
