Ceist:117 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will review the decision on reactor grant payments made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [7082/01]

The notional average milk yield for the person concerned was calculated strictly in accordance with the conditions of the compensation scheme. The notional average of 814 gallons entitled the herdowner concerned to a reactor grant of £400 for each cow or in-calf heifer removed as a reactor. The compensation has been paid on this basis, therefore no further reactor grant payments are due.
Under the notional average milk yield arrangements, there is no provision to allow a reduction in the cow numbers other than those cows identified on the ER83 pre-declaration form or on which EU suckler/beef cow grants were paid.
