Denis Foley

Ceist:

205 Mr. Foley asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress made in acquiring a site and providing a new building for a school (details supplied) in County Kerry. [7042/01]

The property management section of the Office of Public Works is acting on behalf of my Department in relation to site acquisitions generally and is currently exploring the possibility of acquiring a suitable site for the school referred to by the Deputy. As soon as a site has been acquired, my Department will be in contact with the school authorities.

Ceist:

206 Mr. Foley asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress made with regard to a new school (details supplied) in County Kerry. [7043/01]

My Department has recently indicated to the management authorities of the school in question that it is proposing to appoint a design team to advise on the most efficient and cost-effective way of providing accommodation at the school. When the report of the design team is available, the matter will be progressed further. It is not possible at this early stage to say what the format of the project will be or when construction will commence.
