253 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the membership of the interdepartmental group set up by him to report on the issue of exotic animals; the number of meetings held by this group; the name of the person to whom submissions from interested bodies can be addressed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8059/01]

To date the interdepartmental group in question has held two meetings, which have been attended by representatives of my Department, the County and City Managers' Association, the Department of the Environment and Local Government, the Department of Health and Children, the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Office of Public Works. Submissions on the subject of dangerous and exotic animals may be sent to the secretary, dangerous and exotic animals review group, Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Agriculture House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
