288 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline details of the proposals on decentralisation prepared for submission to the Cabinet sub-committee; and if he will make a statement on the decentralisation programme. [8087/01]
I have recently commenced discussions with my Government colleagues with a view to formalising proposals for submission to the Cabinet sub-commit tee on decentralisation. It would, therefore, be inappropriate for me to provide any details of such proposals at this time. I expect that after the Cabinet sub-committee has concluded its consideration of the many issues involved, a memorandum will be submitted to the Government for consideration and decision.
