Derek McDowell

Ceist:

326 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Health and Children if there are staff shortages in Holles Street Children's Hospital, Dublin, including shortages in consultants; and if so, the plans there are to rectify the situation. [7568/01]

The responsibility for the funding of services at the National Maternity Hospital rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and respond to him directly.
