Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

333 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children if Tralee General Hospital, County Kerry, has its full complement of consultants and surgeons as of January 2001; if all such personnel who have either retired or left the hospital have been replaced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7595/01]

The Deputy will be aware that the provision of services and the filling of vacancies at Tralee General Hospital is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Southern Health Board.

I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to look into the issues raised by the Deputy and reply directly to her.
