Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

347 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will expedite an appointment for a MRI scan for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [7704/01]

The provision of services for people living in the Kilkenny area is, in the first instance, the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. I have, therefore, asked the chief execu tive officer at the board to look into the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him in this regard.

Ceist:

348 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Health and Children when a surgical operation will be conducted on a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7715/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
