388 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children if the planning stage of the extension to the Bandon Community Hospital, County Cork, has commenced; and if he will give a detailed report on the position in relation to the extension. [8086/01]
The provision of health services in County Cork is a matter for the Southern Health Board. As the Deputy will be aware, the Southern Health Board has included the extension to Bandon Community Hospital in the board's proposals for inclusion in the National Development Plan 2001-2006. The board has informed my Department that they are drawing up a project brief in respect of this project.
