614 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application from a person (details supplied) in County Meath for the building of a new primary school; if he can confirm that his Department received the deeds for the site in question in March 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7540/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

My Department is currently assessing the most efficient and cost effective method of providing accommodation at the school in question. A letter has recently issued to the school authorities in this regard and when a reply is received the matter can be progressed further. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
