Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John Bruton

Ceist:

622 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in regard to the provision of a new primary school at Clonard, County Meath; and the progress that has been made on this issue since the site was purchased by the local community and the copies of the title deeds to the new site were forwarded to his Department in March 2000. [7643/01]

My Department is currently assessing the most efficient and cost effective method of providing accommodation at the school in question. A letter has recently issued to the school authorities in this regard and when a reply is received the matter can be progressed further. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.

Michael Noonan

Ceist:

623 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide a report on the application from Scoil Ide, Corbally, County Limerick, for a building grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7650/01]

The application referred to by the Deputy is being examined in the planning and building unit of my Department at present and a response will issue to the board of management of the school as soon as possible.
