642 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will increase the number of hours for the services of a resource teacher at Barraduff national school, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7807/01]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the level of resource teacher support available to Barraduff national school has recently been increased as a result of my Department's decision to allocate a full-time resource teacher post to cater for special needs children attending Barraduff and a number of other schools in the area.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has recently sanctioned 2.5 hours per week resource teaching support for a pupil with special needs attending the school in question.
