Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Nora Owen

Ceist:

666 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give approval to the plans submitted by a school (details supplied) in County Dublin as quickly as possible in order that work can commence without delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8051/01]

A feasibility study has recently been commissioned on the school to which the Deputy refers. This study offers three options for the provision of additional accommodation at the school. The proposed options will be examined in greater detail once the schedule of overall accommodation is agreed.

The schedule of overall accommodation has been prepared based on a long-term projected enrolment of 1,200 pupils. The school management authority has raised a number of issues in relation to this schedule. These issues are currently being examined within my Department.

Question No. 667 answered with Question No. 648.
