Vol. 534 No. 4

Order of Business. - An Bille um an Aonú Leasú is Fiche ar an mBunreacht (Uimh. 2), 2001: Céim an Choiste agus na Céimeanna Eile. Twenty-first Amendment of the Constitution (No. 2) Bill, 2001: Committee and Remaining Stages.

Acting Chairman

Before Committee Stage commences, I will deal with a procedural matter relating to Bills to amend the Constitution. The substance of the debate on Committee Stage relates to the wording of the proposed constitutional amendment contained in the Schedule to the Bill. The sections of the Bill are merely technical. Therefore, in accordance with long standing practice, the sections are postponed until consideration of the Schedule has been completed. As I understand there is general agreement to this proposal, I ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to formally move, in accordance with Standing Order 114, that consideration of sections 1 and 2 of the Bill be postponed until the Schedule has been disposed of.

I move: "That consideration of sections 1 and 2 of the Bill be postponed until the Schedule has been disposed of."

Cuireadh agus aontaíodh an cheist.
