113 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if he will ascertain from the Office of Public Works the results of their survey of a drain (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the works which will be undertaken at this drain. [11189/01]
In my reply of 30 January 2001 to the Deputy in the same matter, I stated that the Commissioners of Public Works would undertake a survey of the drain as soon as weather permitted, probably in April of this year. However, due to the current restrictions which have been put in place in relation to the foot and mouth disease, the commissioners programme of drainage maintenance works and surveys has had to be suspended. When the restrictions have been lifted, the programme will be resumed.
