Ceist:

217 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will consider the funding of a professional educational psychologist who is prepared to work with children with autism at a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11140/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

The national educational psychological service is an executive agency of my Department with devolved responsibility for the provision of after the assessment process has been completed.

If the school referred to by the Deputy makes a specific proposal to NEPS it will be given every consideration.
