Vol. 535 No. 2

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

153 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Galway will receive his second REP scheme payment. [12455/01]

An application for second payment was received from the person named on 7 December 2000. The application should have been submitted by 30 September 2000, and my Department has written to the participant to advise him of the implications of this.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

154 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason for the continued delay in making a payment to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare whose herd was slaughtered in September 2000 as a result of BSE infection; the income he has had to live on since then; the action or actions taken to expedite the process in the interim; the date by which it is expected to make full payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12579/01]

This matter is at present under investigation and it would not be appropriate for me to comment further at this stage.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

155 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make arrangements for the payment of a grant for a slatted house for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who has had the work completed for some time and whose work has not yet been inspected. [12580/01]

An inspection of the completed works has taken place in this case. Payment of the grant cannot be further processed until the person named submits a nutrient management plan and evidence that the tax affairs of the contractor engaged to construct the slatted house are in order, as required under the terms and conditions of the national scheme for the control of farm pollution.
