My Department commissioned the public relations firm of Dennehy Associates to provide advice on a range of issues including advice on the organisation, role and function of the press and information office of my Department and issues relating to the ASTI dispute. They also advised the interdepartmental committee which was convened at the request of the Government to consider strategy in relation to the ASTI dispute. An amount of £48,000 plus VAT of £9,840 has been paid in respect of these services for the years 2000 and 2001, up to 25 April 2001.
