Ceist:

138 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Finance if, regarding the purchase of the Oldbridge Estate, any independent valuation of the site was sought or received; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16229/01]

The valuation of the Oldbridge property was undertaken by the Office of Public Works' professional valuation service. An independent valuation was not considered necessary.

Ceist:

139 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Finance if, regarding the purchase of the Oldbridge Estate, the purchase price included full right of way access to the property; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16230/01]

The main access to the Oldbridge property is from the public road. The property was purchased with the benefit of a right of way over land retained by the vendor to facilitate the development of a walking route by Meath County Council along the River Boyne and to provide an additional access point to the route.
