I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes received an application from the taxpayer for a certificate of tax credits and standard rate cut-off point on 21 May 2001. The certificate was issued to the taxpayer on 31 May. The taxpayer's employer will refund any overpaid tax when the taxpayer's tax credits, as set out in the certificate, are applied to the taxpayer's earnings.
