546 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Education and Science the reasons for the delay in proceeding to tender stage on the building project at Kildysart Community College; the likely time scale involved in completing examination of the detailed design and bill of quantities; if tenders will be invited immediately on completion of stages 4 and 5; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials in the building unit of my Department are currently examining the stage 4/5 submission – detailed design and bill of quantities – for this project.

County Clare VEC has also been authorised to advertise the project in order to pre-qualify contractors and sub-contractors. It is expected to proceed to the invitation of tenders when this process is complete.
