557 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has given consideration to the questions raised by the Forum for Music in Ireland concerning proposals to establish an Irish academy for the performing arts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16756/01]

I have very recently received a submission from the Forum for Music in Ireland which raises a number of issues about the establishment of the Irish academy for the performing arts. I am having the submission examined by my Department and a reply will issue to the forum following this consideration.
