Ceist:

132 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the proposals he has to make a substantial allocation of money to Dunmore East fishery harbour; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17324/01]

Brian O'Shea

Ceist:

133 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources further to Parliamentary Question No. 170 of 21 November 2000, the position regarding the completion of the comprehensive consultancy study of the infrastructural needs of Dunmore East harbour, County Waterford; if he intends to publish the study; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17325/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 132 and 133 together.

I have recently announced funding of £1.15 million for cliff stabilisation works and maintenance dredging at Dunmore East. In addition the review of infrastructural requirements at Dunmore East fishery harbour was completed in February and has been provided to Dunmore East port-users committee. The review outlines a number of options which are being evaluated by my Department in consultation with the port-users committee.
