107 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the present waiting list for local authority housing in the local authority areas of Kerry County Council, Listowel Urban District Council, Tralee Urban District Council and Killarney Urban District Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. According to the most recent statutory assessment of housing needs undertaken by local authorities in March 1999, the numbers of households on the housing waiting lists for Kerry County Council and Listowel, Tralee and Killarney Urban District Councils are as follows:

Local Authority	Number of approvedapplications
Kerry County Council	696
Listowel Urban District Council	66
Tralee Urban District Council	361
Killarney Urban District Council	116

The next statutory assessment of housing needs is due to take place next March.

While my Department monitors overall trends in housing needs specific information at the level requested is not available in my Department between the formal statutory assessments.
