Ceist:318 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will review the decision to put a cap on the local contribution for the development of Darrane national school, County Roscommon, at £25,000. [17864/01]

I understand the Deputy is referring to Roxboro national school, County Roscommon.
Under the new funding arrangements for building projects introduced in January 1999, the amount of the local contribution for school extensions was reduced from 15% to 10% and, in addition, the contribution was capped at £25,000.
These arrangements apply in the case of the school referred to by the Deputy.
