Ceist:

142 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the total number of births registered on a monthly basis by the national bovine birth registration service to dams of each breed for each of the years 1999, 2000 and to date in 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table shows the number of calf birth registrations on a monthly basis in respect of the seven main breeds for each of the years 1999, 2000 and to date, 18 June 2001. The codes used to describe each breed are as follows:
