30 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Defence if European territorial waters are to be extended to 350 miles as is being proposed by a number of countries including members of the EU; and if so, the ramifications for the Irish fishery protection fleet. [18271/01]
The matter which the Deputy has raised is one for my colleague the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources. In this regard I refer the Deputy to the response given to him by the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when replying to a similar question raised by the Deputy on 14 June 2001.
