257 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress to date on the renovation works to be carried out to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and the progress being made regarding the provision of a gym to this school. [20443/01]
The consultant for the refurbishment project recently submitted a request to have all applications currently on hand for this school consolidated into one project. Officials within my Department have completed their review of this document and have concurred with its proposals. The consultant will shortly be requested to proceed accordingly. In relation to the application for a gymnasium, the planning section of my Department is currently reviewing the school's long-term projected enrolment figures.
