111 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Defence if he will request the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to lift the restriction on hill grazing at the Department of Defence lands at the Glen of Imaal, County Wicklow. [20367/01]
I am advised that new regulations dealing with control on the movement of sheep have recently been introduced by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development under the provisions of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966. Grazing of sheep in the Glen of Imaal, and at other locations under the control of my Department, is being permitted to resume subject to the conditions laid down in the new regulations.
