143 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Health and Children the respite available for multiple sclerosis sufferers in the north east Donegal area; the adequacy of this provision; and the plans he has for developing facilities that are focused particularly to the younger sufferer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of health related support services to persons with physical and sensory disabilities including the provision of respite care to multiple sclerosis sufferers is the responsibility of the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
