Ceist:186 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will seek an explanation as to the reason work carried out in a semi-private capacity at a hospital (details supplied) is not charged to the VHI or other health insurers for several years afterwards; if this is standard practice; if this practice is subject to audit; the action his Department, the health board and the hospital have taken to address the delay in charging; if an assessment of the cost to the hospital of this practice has been carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
