209 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the nature and scope of the feasibility study being carried out in respect of the provision of a ferry service from Achill to Blacksod, County Mayo; the professional body carrying out the survey; when the survey will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials of my Department are at present considering possible terms of reference for a feasibility study of the potential for a ferry service between Achill Island and Blacksod Bay, County Mayo. It is intended that the study will be completed by independent consultants following a competitive tender process.
