Ceist:321 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if farmers in north Mayo will be paid £45 per hectare for their area based payment; if not, if they will receive £75 per hectare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21791/01]
The scheme agreed in July, 2000 provides for payment of £45 per hectare on up to 60 hectares of mountain type land. The scheme is currently under review with a view to finding the most equitable arrangements with particular reference to farmers with mountain type land.
