320 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Galway will receive a REP scheme payment for year two. [21790/01]

321 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if farmers in north Mayo will be paid £45 per hectare for their area based payment; if not, if they will receive £75 per hectare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21791/01]

The scheme agreed in July, 2000 provides for payment of £45 per hectare on up to 60 hectares of mountain type land. The scheme is currently under review with a view to finding the most equitable arrangements with particular reference to farmers with mountain type land.

An application under the installation aid scheme from the person named is currently being processed and it is expected that payment will issue within the next four weeks.
