Ceist:400 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance the status of the plan to provide a new Garda station at Ballymore, County Westmeath; when construction will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22161/01]

Tender documentation for the construction of a Garda basic unit at Ballymore will be completed in November 2001. Tenders will then be invited and it is anticipated that a contract for this work will be placed early in 2002.
