Denis Naughten

Ceist:

638 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children when he will publish the report on domestic violence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22453/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 405, 542, 637 and 638 together.

I jointly commissioned a research study together with the North-Eastern Health Board to look at the extent of domestic violence perpetrated against men. I have recently received the report on the research study and my Department is currently concluding consultations with relevant State agencies aimed at identifying the implications for service provision raised by the report's findings. I propose to publish the report when these consultations are complete. The funding implications of the report's findings will be examined on completion of the consultation process.
