408 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has to assist a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if the health services have reviewed their previously held views on the issue; the plans which are in hand to provide the degree of assistance required; if the previously expressed concerns of the health board have been vindicated; if psychological assistance or advice has been offered; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 474 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the circumstances in which a person (details supplied) in County Kildare has been put in care/foster care; if allegations made in the context of the case have been verified; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 407, 408 and 474 together.

The Deputy will appreciate that it is not appropriate to comment in detail on individual cases such as this. I have asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
