459 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he met the Irish Council for Psychotherapy; his views on the inclusion of psychotherapy in the first wave of the statutory registration of allied health professionals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21338/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

I have met with the Irish Council for Psychotherapy. I am considering their request for the inclusion of psychotherapists in the first tranche of health and social care professionals participating in the statutory registration process.
