461 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will arrange an immediate appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to attend the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7; and if he will make a statement on the reason for the delay in arranging this appointment. [21352/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The provision of services for people residing in County Kilkenny is the responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the board to look into this matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
