475 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health and Children when he will release funding to the Mid-Western Health Board so that 55 available and unoccupied beds can be put into use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21501/01]
The question of opening additional acute hospital beds in the Mid-Western Health Board is being considered in the context of the national review of bed capacity. The review, which includes a detailed assessment of bed requirements in response to increasing demand and changing demographics, will be submitted to Government shortly.
