Written Answers. - Health Services.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

533 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will review the case of a person (details supplied) in Cork. [21925/01]

I wish to advise the Deputy that responsibility for the issue he has raised is a matter for the Southern Health Board.

In the circumstances, I have forwarded details of the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the board and requested that he contact the Deputy directly in the matter.

Ceist:

534 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 will be seen by a specialist; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21926/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
