Vol. 541 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Reports.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

570 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a report, Paediatric MRI Review in Ireland, carried out by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22072/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): My Department has not carried out any such review. However, I am aware that the Eastern Regional Health Authority commissioned an external review of the need for dedicated paediatric MRI services in the eastern region. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to respond directly to him as a matter of urgency.
