579 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that general practitioners are being advised not to co-operate with the new health board practice nurse facilitators until there is consultation with his Department; if that consultation has taken place; and if so, the outcome of that consultation. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

I am aware of this situation. A meeting has been arranged between officials of my Department and the Irish Medical Organisation with a view to resolving outstanding issues. It will take place tomorrow.
