Written Answers. - Complementary and Alternative Therapies.
A forum on the registration of complementary and alternative practitioners was held on 20 June 2001. Following on from this forum the Institute of Public Administration, IPA, which facilitated the day's discussion, produced a report of the items raised by the participants. I have asked the IPA to consider these and any other relevant issues, including formal submissions received from complementary and alternative practitioners, and report to me by the end of the year on the various ways in which the process might be advanced. Further consultations with the practitioners will then take place on taking the process forward.
