734 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the status of the proposal to carry out repairs, renewals and refurbishment of Ennell Court housing estate, Mullingar, County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22212/01]
Westmeath County Council's proposals for the carrying out of works to their dwellings at Ennell Court, Mullingar, were designated for funding under my Department's remedial works scheme. Approval was issued to the undertaking of a pilot phase of the project in November 2000. The planning and carrying out of the remedial works is the responsibility of the local authority and, in this context, technical and cost documentation for this pilot project is awaited from the council.
