Ceist:1006 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science if a teacher will be provided for one hour per week to enable a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to improve his academic work. [21148/01]

An application for home tuition for the person in question is currently being examined in my Department and a decision is expected shortly.

An application for additional resource teaching support for the person referred to by the Deputy is currently being considered in my Department. Once this process is completed, my officials will be in contact with the authorities of the centre concerned.
