Ceist:

1105 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals he has to provide additional special needs assistants for St. John's school for the mildly handicapped, Youghal Road, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21881/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the school in question has recently been allocated a third special needs assistant post. I understand that the school currently has its full allocation of special needs assistant posts and I am not aware of any additional applications from the school.
