Ceist:
In my reply on 18 October 2001 I indicated to the Deputy that the provisions of section 469 of the Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997, had been amended by the Finance Act, 2001, to broaden the scope of health expenses relief so as to include speech and language therapy carried out by a speech and language therapist in respect of a dependant child of the claimant. I keep these and other provisions under review in the context of the annual budget and Finance Bill and will bear in mind the Deputy's views on this issue.
